As inspirational reads go, nothing could be more empowering than Chin-Nin Chu's "the chinese mindgame"
The book is about thriving and succeeding in everyday life & work using the ancient wisdom of the East. Chin-Ning Chu was a leading expert on the Asian business mind and her book is wonderful, compassionate, and easy to read. Chu shows how to face your fears, overcome them and use them to your advantage. I have re-read this book countless times and find something new each time I do. It is packed with wonderful tools for leading a passionate successful life on every level, filled with great stories, quotes and the wisdom of the ages.
Chin-Ning Chu says:
"Thick Face Black Heart is the wisdom of the soul. Being true to the law of nature in our daily encounters fulfils the highest potential within and around us... Thick Face is a shield. A thick-faced person has the ability to put self-doubt aside. They refuse to accept the limitations that others put on them or the limitations we impose on ourselves. Black Heart is a spear. It will place you beyond human manipulation, beyond the petty standards of human judgement"
(Thick Face alludes to a "thick skin" but is more encompassing, and a Black Heart means being ruthless in the pursuit of your goals.)
A Money Secret - Having Money is Your Right, Just Claim It!
The chapter on money is profound and particularly relevant to those of us building an internet business or thinking about one. It shows that the secret to having money is not a one or two-dimensional formula. Even the wealthiest people have no fixed formula to guarantee their own prosperity. Prosperity is connected with our ability to bring forth every aspect of our inner qualities and innate personal power.
For a the art of war for women practitioner, this is a task that is and on-going task which is never completed. Victory lies in perseverance. If we are steadfast in correcting our course, we can repeatedly recreate ourselves and access the unlimited abundance of which we are part. That is the secret to money, the mystery of wealth - we do not have to beg; we need only claim that which is ours by right!
Eternal Money Secrets: Key Points
Money and wealth are obtained through interactions with others To have a sense of your worth, you need to first do something that is worthy of your own respect Generally speaking, most of us are exactly where we want to be financially. Gaining prosperity is not about what you are willing to do to gain it; more importantly, it is about what you are willing to give up in exchange for it Money is the element of life that inspires the greatest emotions in individual human beings. It is tightly entwined with the emotions of agony and ecstacy The path to wealth is not to chase money for its own sake, but to understand and develop your own intrinsic talents and inclinations Each of us possess a spark of individual brilliance and is capable of accomplishing something in our own unique way that cannot be accomplished by anyone else. Striving to discover what our niche is in this vast human market is part of our conquest of life Money is not part of who you are. You didn't bring it with you at birth, nor will you take it with you at death. Enjoy money, but keep an indifferent attitude toward it. There is no need to beg in your prayers for material prosperity. The abundance of the world is freely given to those who claim it as their natural birthright Outer success will follow the actions and attitudes you manifest due to your experience of success as an inner reality From her article, 'Dances in the Lion's Mouth," Chu wrote, "Live well, act well, do the right thing in good times and in bad. You need not pursue joy; instead, if you faithfully practice... your happiness will indeed pursue you. You will then come to see that state of consciousness in which the joy in your heart will become uncontainable; like a dam ready to burst. In my most sincere honesty, I tell you that such happiness of the heart is available to everyone when they practice dancing in the lion's mouth."
Sadly Chin-Ning Chu died of cancer in 2009, but her legacy remains and her spirit lives on. For those of us wanting to learn money secrets, Chu's mystery of money principles and ideas are worth their weight in gold!
